**Job Description: Information technology (IT) business analyst**

We are looking for an **Information technology (IT) business analyst **to join our customer first Agile-based Product Team. You’ll be helping to drive business and product strategy and working towards customer satisfaction. You will use your quantitative skills, obsession and empathy towards customers and collaborative spirit to work closely with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to provide data-driven insights to take our products to the next level.

You will be working to ensure that the first-time and ongoing user experience with our technology products is as pleasant and efficient as it can be.

You'll work closely with product, marketing, and engineering and report to the product manager. The work will take place in our North Vancouver headquarter.

**Duties: On a typical day, you will...**
- Act as a liaison between the business, product, technology departments
- Interview clients to identify and document requirements with the help of Product Managers
- Analyze information systems processes, and propose customized solutions to improve performance and efficiency of the entire product life cycle
- Design, develop, integrate information systems business solutions along with business development team
- Provide advice on information systems strategy, management, and service quality and delivery
- Help other teams to conduct tests to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and functionality of system changes and enhancements
- Deliver reports and detailed documentations of the market insights and present in product and business meetings
- Help to craft product requirements and user stories along with product management team

**About you**
- You put customers front and center, and you enjoy talking with them
- You have an informed perspective on product design, discovery, and working collaboratively
- You have some experience working on digital products, specifically software (AI) products, within a technology startup, and/or within technology consulting
- You have a business sense and can understand how our product fits within the “big picture” of an organization
- You are an exceptional communicator with the ability to collaborate and build trust with diverse stakeholders
- You have a strong willingness to learn and grow through on-the-job mentorship
- You have an understanding of agile principles and would thrive working in an environment where iteration and continuous improvement is essential to our culture

**Requirement**:

- **Education**: A Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, business administration, information systems or a related discipline.
- **Work experience**: 4+ years of experience working in/with a product team

- You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are excited about overcoming challenges, navigating ambiguity; have funded and exited an startup
- You are familiar with machine learning and AI principles
- Hands on experience working with databases and data visualization, familiar with SQL, Python or other programming or scripting languages.
