**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address students' academic, personal, and social challenges.
- Conduct interviews to assess student needs and develop tailored support plans.
- Offer academic advising to guide students in course selection, career planning, and goal setting.
- Mentor students to foster personal development and enhance their educational experience.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to create a supportive learning environment.
- Utilize Ellucian and PeopleSoft systems for managing student records and tracking progress.
- Engage in public speaking opportunities to promote counseling services and resources available to students.
- Analyze student data to identify trends and areas for improvement in support services.
- Participate in recruiting activities to attract prospective students.

**Skills**
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, faculty, and staff.
- Proficiency in education administration tools such as Ellucian and PeopleSoft.
- Experience in individual/group counseling techniques tailored to diverse student populations.
- Public speaking abilities to present information clearly during workshops or seminars.
- Strong mentoring skills with a focus on fostering positive relationships with students.
- Academic advising experience with an understanding of curriculum requirements.
- Ability to analyze data effectively for informed decision-making regarding student services.
- Previous university experience is highly desirable, along with a passion for working with students.
- Teaching experience is a plus, enhancing the ability to engage with students academically.
