**Position: MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT (MOA)**

**Type: Full time - Monday to Friday**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lab duties - prepare laboratory specimens (biopsies) for send out, dispose of contaminated supplies, sterilize medical instruments (autoclave), run UVB machine.
- Patient care duties - Coordinate patient care through the clinic, check in, prep, and escort patients to exam rooms, prepare exam rooms, answer questions, provide post-appointment advice, monitor the waiting room and manage the flow.
- General duties - Keep patient information confidential and secure at all times. Perform all other related clinical, administrative tasks or special tasks as required by clinic management.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Experience as an MOA or a MOA program certification is preferred
- Work experience in a medical specialists’ office is an asset
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Ability to analyze, problem-solve, and investigate problems
- Open, positive, and accountable
- Ability to work full time hours 5 days per week (Monday-Friday)
- Experience with an EMR system (Accuro) is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
