Information Governance Analyst

The Information Management & Business Analytics division is seeking a skilled information professional to support multiple aspects of its operational work. The Information Governance (IG) Team conducts analysis, organizes information, and supports Information Governance (IG) through completion and participation in the operational activities as defined by the Information Governance program. The Information Governance Analyst is a critical part of the team, bringing excellent organizational, analytical, communication skills, tact, flexibility, the ability to work under pressure and is comfortable adapting to quickly changing priorities.
**Responsibilities**:
As Information Governance Analyst, among other duties, you will be responsible for:
- Security and access to information including security model (re)designs
- Information architecture management
- Content migration and conversion
- System compliance and auditing
- Data Governance: Data quality management, data cleansing, data sharing
- Program administration including development of documentation
- Other duties as needed
You will drive continuous improvement by supporting the establishment of policies and standards, actioning operational change requests related to information, provide cross functional coverage of IG duties, assist in the communication and training of IG initiatives, and consult and elaborate with business units in order to analyze requirements and determine a solution.
**Qualifications**:
- Relevant post-secondary education preferably in Library and/or Information Management, business administration, information systems, information management, data analysis or equivalent combination of experience and training
- Accreditation and good standing from a leading records or information management body (e.g., ARMA, AIIM, CHIMA) is beneficial
- Minimum three years’ experience in an information/data driven team
- Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical specification and vice-versa
- Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Exceptional organizational, prioritization and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required
- Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and contribute to a team environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities and adherence to deadlines under time pressure
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with and capacity to effectively work with cross-functional/inter-departmental teams and external partners in order to engage and build relationships
- Comfortable adapting processes to the needs of individual cases and commitment to continuous improvement
- Experience working in Microsoft Dynamics, SharePoint, Azure DevOps
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, MS Teams
- Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL) and Python an asset
- Good understanding of information and privacy regulations (e.g., PHIPA, FIPPA, PIPEDA)
- Flexibility is necessary as this position is growing
Note: It is a fundamental requirement of employment with CPSO that employees reside in Ontario and can attend the College office as required. Must be able to provide proof of double vaccination.
Work environment: Hybrid, remote work with in-office attendance one day per week and/or more as needed.
