Cherubini Metal Works, a member of the Cherubini Group of Companies, is looking for a fulltime receptionist for our Main Office in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

**Summary**
As the Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our company at our 570 Wilkinson Avenue location. Our Receptionist’s duties include offering administrative support across the organization. You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls. You should also be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Meeting deadlines and stress management skills are essential for this position.
This role is a support role for both the organization and the People Services department. As such, the Receptionist will work closely with all levels of management and employees within the Cherubini Group to promote a positive employee and safety culture with enthusiasm and a confident, results-focused attitude.

**Roles & Responsibilities**
The Receptionist will be responsible for the following:
**1. **Safety **- Be an active participant in the Safety Culture of the organization and promote a positive safety culture with enthusiasm and confidence. Scan and file paperwork submitted by the safety team, adhering to digital filing procedures.
**2. **Security **- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk. Act as backup Gate Control for the shipper/receiver. Sign visitors in for deliveries and direct to shipping/ receiving. Ensure visitors to the office are signed in, and their Point of Contact is notified.
**4. **People Services** - Collect absences from the shop foremen. Maintain permanent postings on our lunchroom televisions, updating the playlists weekly. Prepare onboarding for incoming staff, having PPE, timecard, and contact information collected and ready for their first day.
**5. **Inventory **- Regularly audit supply amounts, ensure that there is a consistent and minimum level of stationary maintained through the shop. Take all exceptional requests and have them approved by management. Receive, confirm, and distribute incoming orders.
**6. **Accounting **- Ensure all receipts and invoices get scanned to accounting. Scan and send invoices arriving through mail, setting physicals aside for pickup. Scan and send cheques arriving through mail or courier, setting physicals aside for pickup.
**Requirements**:
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Meeting deadlines and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Customer oriented attitude

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
