As an employee of Le Rouge, your role is greater than just making or delivering great tasting food and/ or beverage to the table. You represent the Le Rouge brand are the ambassador to what our experience has to offer. You will help to tailor the experience to suit each and every guest and deliver to the highest standard. This means that you must both look and act the part of a professional bartender to instill confidence in the guests, many of whom are dining with Le Rouge for the first time. You build the trust of our guests and you provide clarity of what is about to begin. You are the one responsible for introducing the guest to the experience by telling our story, providing menu recommendations and accompanying beverage and extending to them the premium experience that the brand carries.

**Host Job Description**

The Host is vital part of the Le Rouge team. They are the first and last person to connect with the guest and therefore give the first and last impression of the experience. The host also role plays a key role in controlling the flow of the business and has a direct impact on the success of the restaurant. Be yourself, have fun and create a memorable and lasting impression whereby every one of our guests can’t wait to come back. Your passion for the guest experience is the cornerstone of our success.

**Role of the Host**
- Provides a genuinely welcoming and engaging first impression for our guests
- Be organized and prepared. Understand your next actions to optimize your time and efforts so you have more time for the guests
- Possess expert knowledge of restaurant layout and ability to move throughout building with refined sense of urgency
- Be knowledgeable about all aspects of the restaurant including, but not limited to: store hours, parking availability, current promotions and specials, and store policies and procedures
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times during all interactions with guests
- Possess a sincere attitude to be of service to others with a desire to succeed

**Position KPIs and Responsibilities**
- Knowledge of property including property information, amenities, hours of operation and parking availability
- Saying Hello and Goodbye and paying genuine gratitude to all guests that visit the restaurant
- The ability to multitask; greeting, seating, handling incoming calls, saying good-bye to each guest as they leave while following all standards as it pertains to each task
- Organizing and confirming reservations by phone prior to arrival to ensure guests’ attendance
- Optimization of floor plan, placement of reservations and high detail toward guest notes and preferences
- Cleanliness of workspace, completion of cleaning schedules, and vigilant on-going maintenance of reception area.
- Handling guest concerns with and without the support of the management team
- Providing the highest quality of service at all times in all guest interactions
- Cleaning and organizing front entrance, host area, and tables as needed
- Relaying all reservation information, including VIP’s, including special requests, private parties to Manager, Chef, and servers as needed
- Ability to take compliments or complaints with and without support of management
- Proper adherence to all cash handling procedures as outlined in company policies
- Correct use of POS system, adhering to all company standards and policies
- Assist front of house team when needed
- Knowledge of the Le Rouge brand including all products, menu’s and promotions

- Must be able to stand and move for extended periods of time to continuously perform essential job functions
