We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly **Host/Hostess** to be the first point of contact for our guests. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you’ll set the tone for an authentic Irish pub experience by greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth operations in our bustling environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Warmly greet and seat guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage reservations and waitlists using our booking system.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries about menu items, events, or bookings.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure efficient table turnover.
- Assist with light bussing or food running during peak hours.
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area.
- Support special events, such as live music nights or private bookings.
- Uphold safety and sanitation standards in line with Nova Scotia regulations.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in customer service (preferred but not required).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, upbeat attitude.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (pub hours: 11 AM-midnight, later on Fridays/Saturdays).
- Must have valid government-issued photo ID and be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Knowledge of Irish culture or hospitality is a plus

Pay: $50,000.00-$61,400.00 per year
