**Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)**:
As Kitchen Staff, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning and appealing charcuterie and catering displays. You will be tasked with assembling a variety of cheeses, meats, fruits, and other accompaniments to create artful and delicious grazing experiences. Attention to detail and a creative flair are essential to succeed in this role. You will also be tasked to support the Olive& Fig team by performing various kitchen duties. This role will expand and develop as our company grows. Initially, the position’s primary responsibilities will be but are not limited to:
- Adhering to Olive & Fig food standards, presentation and quality across all areas during all stages of food preparation and production
- Ensuring that kitchen activities operate in a timely manner and that all Health & Safety and food hygiene practices are followed
- Offering suggestions and creative ideas that can improve the kitchen’s performance
- Assisting in the physical arrangement of food and other inventory, which may include lifting, storage and organization of weighty items
- Attend off-site events, if required
**Experience and Qualifications**:
- Culinary education an asset
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices
- Teamwork-oriented with outstanding leadership abilities
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- The ability to react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require quick response
- Food Handler Certification preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs, bend and reach overhead, squat or stoop to reach items, stand for long periods of time
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
