**Overview**
We are seeking a friendly and reliable Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for clients providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. You’ll assist with administrative tasks such as maintaining accurate patient records, processing payments, and coordinating with our veterinary team to ensure excellent client care. Your ability to multitask and communicate effectively will ensure a positive experience for both clients and their pets.
Previous reception or veterinary experience preferred, but not required.
The hours for this position would be Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
**Responsibilities**:
- Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed.
- Process payments and handle billing inquiries with attention to detail.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Provide information on preventative care, medications, and post-treatment instructions to clients.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanor when interacting with clients and pets.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient in using computer systems for scheduling and record management.
- A passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Benefit package, clinic discount and scrub allowance available after a three month probation period.
Pay: $17.20-$24.26 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
