Machinist

Bateman Manufacturing makes a wide range of material handling attachments, and custom orders for their customers. We have CNC Machines, Lathes, and Mills

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Cut, shape and finish metal to make precision machining parts and components
- Use of manual and CNC boring machines
- Set up and operate conventional and numerically controlled metal-cutting machines and equipment
- Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
- Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments
- Check and complete the program and dimensions
- Monitor the machine while working to adjust the feed, and temperature and identify issues
- Complete inspection records and reports along with any minor repairs as needed
- Coordinate directly with engineers to understand project requirements, verify design details and recommend modifications as needed according to company standards
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- 2 years experience in the field.
- Licensed Professional preferred but will consider apprenticeships.
- Comfortable with using universal grinders, tool grinders, surface grinders, milling machines and drill presses
- Ability to use precision tools to take measurements (ex. Calipers and micrometers etc.)
- Ability to lift heavy materials
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of choosing proper parameters of machines and materials

Wage will be determined based on the applicant's experience.

**Experience**:

- machinist: 2 years (preferred)
