**Primary Objective**:
A clerical assistant **performs administrative tasks**. Clerical assistants are very organized, have good IT and written skills Responsibilities include filing, dealing with correspondence, maintaining data using computer or manual systems, lifting heavy packages, ordering supplies, shipping outgoing mail and packages, sorting and delivering mail, repetitive tasks and other general office duties.

**Work Environment**:
A fast paced, productivity driven environment, compliant with health and safety standards. Keyboarding effort required daily. Sitting for extended periods; prolonged exposure to computer monitors. Regular use of phone system.

**Working Hours**:
Regular office hours 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Team members may work shifts outside of normal business hours only if approved in advance by a manager or supervisor and may be required to cover for absence and vacancy during these shifts.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Excellent organization skills
- Able to multi-task
- Collaborative team building skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work and contribute in a team atmosphere
- Work with team members to ensure that assigned work can be completed based on the time commitment made
- Capable of working independently and still meeting strict deadlines
