UMMI Early Learning is a licensed home-based daycare that blends the BC Early Learning Framework with a nurturing, play-based approach. We keep our groups small to ensure each child receives personalized care and attention, while fostering a warm, family-like environment. Position Overview
We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic **Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA)** to join our small team. As part of a home-based daycare, you’ll work closely with the Lead Educator to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive space for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist in planning and leading age-appropriate activities (art, circle time, outdoor play, sensory exploration, etc.)
- Supervise and engage with children during play, meals, rest, and transitions
- Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment
- Foster positive communication and relationships with children and families
- Respect and help integrate Islamic values and celebrations into the daily program
- Perform light housekeeping duties related to the children (e.g., tidying toys, wiping tables, assisting with meals)
**Qualifications**:
- Valid **ECEA Certificate** (or currently enrolled in an ECE program) recognized in BC
- Current **First Aid & CPR** certification (or willing to obtain)
- Clear **Criminal Record Check**:
- Genuine love and patience for working with young children
- Strong teamwork and communication skills

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
