As part of our expansion, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team.**
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for managing and processing all invoices received for payment and undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. This role requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, along with the ability to handle sensitive financial information.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Review and verify invoices and check requests.
- Sort, code, and match invoices.
- Set invoices up for payment.
- Enter and upload invoices into the system.
- Track expenses and process expense reports.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
- Prepare and perform check runs.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
- Maintain vendor files.
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
- Produce monthly reports.
- Assist with month-end closing.
- Provide supporting documentation for audits.
- Process employee timecards for payroll.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma required, Bookkeeping certificate or Accounting/Finance degree.
- Proven working experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role 5+ years.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills.

This role is based in the office and operates from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
