Position Summary
As a Field Service Technician with Cansel, you will have the opportunity to learn the latest technology and contribute to an organization that is dedicated to customer service in the exciting world of Wide Format Printing. This position includes a fleet vehicle as well as a company cell phone. Manufacturer training is held either at the Manufacturer plant, or in office is available when required.
In this role, you will...

**Repair, install, and maintain the following**:
HP Designjet line of printers, T830/T1500/T2500/T3500, Z6/Z9 are some examples
HP Latex Printers, L370/570
HP Pagewide XL Printers, 4000/5100/6000/8000
ROWE Scanners, Contex Scanners
Mutoh Printers, VJ1618/2638 are some examples
Laminating equipment
Various types of RIP Software
- Troubleshoot new and existing equipment at customer locations
- Perform preventative maintenance procedures at customer locations as assigned
- Provide excellent customer service both over the phone and face to face, as well as have an ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical audiences
- Identify and escalate issues requiring additional support to the Manufacturers and/or Service Manager as required
- Complete all required paperwork to ensure efficient tracking and documentation requirements are achieved
- Strive for continuous improvement of all equipment, systems and procedures throughout the workflow
- Responsible for personal quality of workmanship and taking all necessary precautions to prevent customer service disruptions
- Maintain accurate car parts stock, as assigned, counted periodically
- Operate a variety of hand and electronic tools to effectively and properly perform work tasks
- Ensure machines are wiped down after setup, used parts and materials are properly disposed of and accounted for within our system.

About you...
- Post secondary education, preferably in an electrical or mechanical discipline.
- Strong product and technical knowledge of a variety of wide format printing equipment
- Ability to work independently, as part of a team and take initiative to improve the customer experience
- Ability to access/service equipment which may be in low, high, cramped or otherwise inconvenient locations
- Strong attention to detail and good visual skills for assessing image quality
- Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Positive attitude and possess a personal pride in performing quality work
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid Passport for travel to training courses held in United States and/or Europe.
- Must live in the area to ensure that travel time to client sites is within our desired response time.

Bonus points
- Prior electronics/computer experience
- Experience repairing, maintaining wide format printing equipment
- Experience with RIP software
- Computer / network troubleshooting skills related to connecting devices to a network
