**About the Role**

**Key Responsibilities of the role **(include but not limited to):

- AXIS model management and execution of controls as part of regular quarterly production under US GAAP/LDTI, NAIC, and Solvency II reserving bases;
- Assist Actuarial Analysts with running quarterly production on AXIS;
- Valuation, analysis and reporting (including regulatory reports and disclosures) of the BHG Re life retrocession blocks of business under NAIC and US Tax bases;
- Recommend, design and help implement process improvements to accommodate growing lines of business and facilitate analysis;
- Performance management of direct reports and managing their day-to-day work;
- Participate in special projects as requested by Senior Management.

**Qualifications**:

- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries designation (FSA) designation is required;
- Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries designation (FCIA) is preferred;
- 5+ years of experience in a life insurance/reinsurance Company is required;
- Strong people management skills, ability to lead and influence;
- Strong technical skills and ability to analyze and solve problems;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Experience presenting to senior management is preferred;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Knowledge/experience with Moody’s AXIS.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
