**Job Description**:
As **Manager, Reinsurance Valuation** for the Reinsurance Traditional Life block, you will lead actuarial analysts in a variety of engagements, to perform sound valuation analysis and provide assurance over financial reporting activities. The Manager, Reinsurance Valuation reports to the Director, Reinsurance Valuation.
**What you will do**
- Perform quarterly valuation, financial reporting, and capital requirements for the Reinsurance Traditional Life block
- Present actuarial and financial results and explain quarter-over-quarter movements to senior management and various stakeholders
- Lead regulatory sensitivity tests such as Proformas, Risk Budget, and Financial Condition Testing (FCT)
- Collaborate with Pricing and Financial Management to maintain valuation models
- Stay up to date on actuarial valuation principles and capital regulations
- Develop and provide on-going training to actuarial analysts within the team
- Recommend and implement process improvement and innovation
- Provide ad-hoc support to Head of Actuarial (Toronto), CL Re and Director, Reinsurance Valuation
**What you will bring**:
- Fellow, Canadian Institute of Actuaries and Fellow, Society of Actuaries
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and deliver high quality results within tight deadlines
- Effective communication skills, including being able to clearly communicate complex results to different stakeholders
- Leadership skills to promote employee development and engagement
- Experience in Valuation, Experience Review, and Pricing would be an asset
- Ability to collaborate with different business functions
