Reporting to the Vice President, Digital IT, the Associate Vice President, Retail Operations and Reliability, will own developing and leading the vision, strategy and execution of operations across our banners and be at the heart of the Canadian Tire digital business that will help the Digital IT Team make decisions that will drive performance, directly leading to the accomplishment of annual goals. The role allows you, as a servant-leader, to shape digital products and your product team from conception to launch while collaborating with engineers and designers to build scalable products that deliver growth and exceptional customer experiences. The Associate Vice President, Retail Operations and Reliability will create and execute with their team of software engineer managers the SRE strategy for success across our banners.

**What you’ll do**
- Own, maintain and deliver the digital IT operations roadmap in partnership with business and IT stakeholders and in line with business priorities
- Lead, mentor and build the SRE, Support and Monitoring teams, working together to create a world-class digital IT operations capability within Canadian Tire
- Prioritize development of systems resiliency, stability, performance and security capabilities to ensure delivery on time, on budget based on strong analysis of customer analytics, business impact and KPIs
- Provide leadership and guidance to digital IT operations organization
- Partner with solution architects, scrum masters, program owners and the execution teams to drive delivery and outcomes
- Use data and analytics to identify and prioritize initiatives that improve the customer experience, maximize sales and conversion, and increase satisfaction
- Lead multiple streams of work and cross-functional teams, including partnering with other product leaders and engineering to translate insights into system designs, facilitate decision-making and deliver scalable solutions that meet current needs and considers future growth scenarios
- Define objectives and key success metrics to continuously measure performance to inform the success of our products and present strategy and SRE progress to internal stakeholders and Canadian Tire dealers at a senior level

**What you bring**
- 10+ years’ of relevant operations experience in a fast-paced environment with at least 3+ years’ experience in defining and implementing operational roadmaps using an agile methodology
- Strong retail background
- Proven self-starter with entrepreneurial instincts and the ability to successfully balance multiple tasks and deadlines in a rapidly changing environment
- Familiar with system monitoring and performance tools
- Previous experience handling incident management
- Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and project management skills, including developing effective cross-organizational and vendor relationships
