**Job Summary**

We are seeking a reliable, organized, and customer-focused **Parts Person / Service Writer** to join our team. This dual-role position is responsible for managing parts inventory, sourcing parts, and handling service-related administrative duties including work orders, scheduling, and customer communication.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Parts Duties**:

- Order, receive, and manage parts inventory
- Source and price parts from various suppliers
- Maintain accurate stock levels and ensure timely restocking
- Organize and maintain the parts room for efficiency
- Coordinate part deliveries and returns
- Track and record all parts usage on work orders

**Service Writer Duties**:

- Greet customers and gather equipment information
- Create and manage work orders in the shop management system
- Schedule service appointments and coordinate with technicians
- Communicate job status and estimates with customers
- Verify completed work and ensure customer satisfaction before invoicing
- Assist with warranty claims and service record keeping

**Qualifications**
- Experience in a heavy-duty mechanical or automotive environment (preferred)
- Knowledge of truck and equipment parts (preferred)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficient in computer systems and shop management software
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
