**Responsibilities**:
The Production/Machine Operator will be responsible for various duties within the Production department on a daily basis. Duties will include but not limited to the following:

- Following recipes to accurately mix formulas in a safe, efficient, and timely manner; weighing ingredients to ensure recipes are followed accurately.
- Operating, cleaning, and maintaining all production equipment in a safe manner.
- Disassembling and reassembling machines as required.
- Wash down of equipment between batches as required.
- Assisting with handling and storage of ingredients.
- Always maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Working as a team within the department and effectively communicating with other departments, Formax Operator and Supervisors.
- Following all company procedures and ensuring health & safety and HACCP procedures are always followed.

**Qualifications**:

- 1+ years experience in a manufacturing environment/previous machine operator experience is preferred; experience working in a food plant is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of HACCP food safety and GMP an asset.
- Able to follow procedures set by the company.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment to meet daily production schedules.
- Comfortable working with raw meat in a colder environment.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, several times throughout the shift.
- Good communication skills - must be able to communicate with team members and management effectively.
- Attention to detail and being able to work quickly with mínimal errors.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, basic math skills (weighing ingredients); must be able to read and write English.

**Other information**:

- Shift hours are 3:30 pm to midnight Monday to Friday with at least one Saturday or Sunday shift per month.
