**Responsibilities**:
The Shipper/Receiver/Forklift Operator will be responsible for various shipping & receiving duties to help ensure the smooth operation of the Shipping & Receiving department on a daily basis. Duties will include but not limited to the following:

- Safely operating the forklift, electric pallet jacks, hand jacks and other equipment.
- Loading and unloading trucks in a safe and timely manner.
- Counting, inspecting and verifying incoming shipments for accuracy, condition and completeness; ensuring incoming shipments are put away in an organized fashion using FIFO principles.
- Entering/scanning incoming and outgoing shipments in ERP system; ensuring paperwork matches shipments and informing supervisor of any discrepancies, damages or issues immediately.
- Moving skids in the plant, in and out of freezers, coolers, and ocean containers etc as required; ensuring products are labelled and organized for easy access and retrieval.
- Conducting regular stock counts and assisting with periodic inventory audits as required.
- Assisting other departments in ensuring they have the product or materials that they require for the operation.
- Ensuring shipping/receiving area is kept clean, tidy and organized, to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
- Ensuring freezers are kept clean and well organized.
- Assisting with picking orders, wrapping and moving completed skids.
- Adhering to all health & safety guidelines, HACCP procedures, and all company policies & procedures.
- Collaborating with other team members, supervisors, and managers to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
- Assisting in other departments as required.

**Qualifications**:

- 3+ years experience in a shipping/receiving department is required.
- 1+ years forklift experience/certification.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management systems/software is an asset.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and push/pull very heavy skids throughout the day.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks; comfortable working outdoors for the majority of the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of HACCP food safety and GMP is an asset.
- Good communication skills; must be able to communicate with team members, supervisors, and other departments effectively and be able to follow procedures set by the company.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- SAP experience is an asset.
- Ability to work hours outside of normal shift, or overtime, as required.

**Other information**:

- Shift is Monday to Friday, 2pm - 10pm; must be available for at least one weekend shift per month.
- Benefit package offered after successful completion of probationary period.
