Food Service and Nutrition Manager- Long Term Care

Aramark is recruiting a Food Service and Nutrition Manager for Humber Meadows Long Term Care Facility that accommodates over 300 residents. The Food Service and Nutrition Manager is responsible for directing, planning, organizing, and controlling the activities of the Nutrition and Food Service Department to ensure that the nutritional needs of each resident are met, including special ethno-cultural requirements, within established budget and existing legislative parameters. There is daily interaction with other department heads and employees, residents, families, and contractors.
The Food Service and Nutrition Manager will participate in and conduct a variety of managerial activities and duties to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the Home, and to achieve and maintain a level of high-quality resident care.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead the front of the house of the dining operations of the Home Cafeteria and Residential Dining Facility in conjunction with the Food Service Director
- Plans, directs, and coordinates food service activities to meeting the nutritional needs of the residents in accordance with budgets and legislative parameters
- Adopt Aramark processes and systems, understand performance metrics, data, order and inventory trends; educate teams on key levers to improve margins
- Bring value through efficient operations, cost controls, and profit management
- Follow Operational Excellence fundamentals by maintaining food and labour initiatives
- Ensure accurate completion and maintenance of P&L statements
- Follow all applicable policies, rules and regulations relating to health, safety, wage and hour

**Qualifications**:
- Graduate of an accredited Food Supervisor’s/Food and Nutrition Management Program
- Must be fully vaccinated against Covid19 - minimum of 2 injections
- Alternative is bachelor’s degree with a Major in Food and Nutrition
- Member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM) or in the relevant provincial regulatory body for Dietitians
- 3-5 years leadership including therapeutics, administration, and supervision in a Long
- Term Care or Senior Living setting is required
- Working knowledge of all applicable Senior Living/Long Term Care/Retirement Provincial legislation, regulations, and acts
- Must have strong computer proficiency in MS Office including Excel for reporting
- Working knowledge of health and safety, employment, and human rights legislation
