Unix and Linux, Co-Op

Position Purpose
Embark on a 8 and or 12-month immersive co-op journey into the world of Unix and Storage Systems Administration with The Travel Corporation. This co-op role isn’t just about gaining experience; it's an opportunity to play a significant role in the technological landscape of a global travel leader.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Proactive System Monitoring & Maintenance: Engage in the active monitoring of our Linux servers and storage systems, learning to troubleshoot effectively.
- Issue Tracking and Resolution: Use ServiceNow for efficient issue management, developing IT service management skills.
- System Documentation & Analysis: Assist in system documentation and analysis for R&D projects.
- Introduction to Change Management: Understand the importance of change management in ensuring system reliability.
- Collaborative Projects: Collaborate with experienced professionals on system deployment and management.

Education & Experience
- Previous Internship Experience: Any prior internship experience in IT or related fields is highly valued.
- Foundational Unix/Linux Skills: Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, with an eagerness to develop further expertise.
- Understanding of Virtualization Technologies: Familiarity with virtualization concepts, ready to deepen your understanding.
- Introductory Scripting Knowledge: Exposure to scripting languages, interested in learning more for system administration tasks.
