Specialist - Business Analysis

? Support estimating efforts for new work and changes to existing projects
? Develop products & services requirements strategically and tactically to support business goals - operational efficiency, market share, quality, etc.
? Identify and implement process improvement initiatives
2. Should be able to function as Lead BA on moderate to complex developments and identify and document clear and concise business and functional requirements
? Employ appropriate elicitation techniques and conduct requirements elicitation
? Analyze and categorize elicited requirements and document these in business and functional requirements specifications
? Participate and/ lead internal and external customer meetings to drive business requirements into functional solutions that meet and exceed customer needs
? Conduct requirements walkthroughs with clients to ensure documented requirements are accurate
3. Understand product standards and roadmaps used for different lines of business i.e. Securities, Insurance, Mutual Funds i.e. LSIF, Legislative products i.e. RESP, RRSP
? Participate in and drive requirements walkthroughs or collaborative sessions with cross functional teams
? Ensure client requirements can be translated into technical solutions that meet the client needs while maintaining architectural integrity across product lines
? Perform gap analysis for the development of new business processes and work flows that support client requirements
4. Be proactive and “Think on your Feet”
? Keep abreast of industry best practices (e.g. AGILE, BABOK, CMMI)
? Recommend process changes aligned to improve quality, productivity, efficiency
? Conduct market research, and develop benchmarks and performance measures;
? Lead and resolve client functionality challenges when issues may arise during the project lifecycle
5. REQUIRED SKILLS:
6. EDUCATION AND OTHER PROFESSIONAL CREDITATION REQUIREMENTS:
1. B.A degree in Economics, Business or equivalent
2. OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
1. Over 10 years of Senior Business Analyst experience and the ability to work with project team located globally and in different time zones.
2. Experience using Data, Solutions & Process Modelling methods - ERD, AHD, DFD, Use Case, UML, Decision Tables
3. Experience in practicing different SDLC methodologies - Agile, SAFE, SCRUM, Iterative, XP, Optional - Experience in UIPath, UX, Playback, RPA
4. Able to lead and resolve client functionality and technical challenges when issues arise during the project lifecycle.
