**The Company**

The Environmental Division of ParklandGEO Ltd. is an energetic team of professionals and technicians that work closely together to achieve excellence. Currently, ParklandGEO is looking for 1-2 Environmental Technicians to be located at any of our Alberta offices (Grande Prairie, Sherwood Park, Red Deer, Calgary, Fort McMurray or Lethbridge).

**The Opportunity**

You will work closely with an impressive team of engineers and technologists performing monitoring and testing in the field and the lab under the direction of the technical services supervisor.

Responsibilities may include:

- Conduct Phase 1 environmental site assessments
- Soil sampling during drilling, test pitting and excavation activities
- Monitoring and groundwater sampling
- Wellsite reclamation, including site contouring, decompaction, topsoil placement, weed control
- Complete detailed site assessments
- Develop and monitor compliance with Environmental Construction Operations (ECO) Plans
- Experience in erosion control and contaminate site assessment (Phase I/II) would be considered a strong asset
- Hazardous building materials assessment or sampling would be considered a strong asset
- Ability to operate various types of field monitoring equipment
- File compilation, organization of field data, interpretation of laboratory results and assisting in preparation of technical reports
- Ability to travel and work for various durations in the field
- Adhere to both ParklandGEO and site-specific health and safety plans

**The Qualifications Required**
- Diploma or equivalent in environmental sciences or related field
- Great attitude and work ethic
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to work individually and in a team setting in a demanding consulting environment
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and communicate effectively with clients, co-workers, and management team
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to travel and work for various durations in the field
- Ability to multi-task and coordinate multiple field programs
- Team orientated with a commitment to safety excellence
- Previous environmental field work experience work (drilling, site assessment, sampling, inventory, monitoring) is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
