Position Summary
The Project Co-Ordinator will work directly with the MRO team and liaise with staff from all internal departments including Procurement, Programs, Production, Technical Support, Spares, Quality, Sales, Marketing, and Finance. The Project Co-Ordinator will also interact with customers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Project Management Plan
- Manage multiple projects dealing with changes to the basic aircraft, options, and in-service requests. Identify and communicate risks and roadblock. Be responsible for leading your projects from Launch to successful Implementation in Production &/or In service solution. Provide Project leadership for resolution of issues & coordinate multi-discipline activities.
- Manage cross functional projects within schedule, budget, and scope, and ensure results-based outcomes.
- Create end to end project governance and documentation from initiation of the project through to project close out and lessons learned.
- Project manage aerospace certification requirements for new Programs.
- Chair, coordinate, and support technical (PDR, CDR) and Project Management reviews, including integrated project teams (IPT) and executive updates.
- Manage and develop strong, functional, supplier and partner relationships.
- Responsible for creation and on-going review of Estimates vs Actuals along with capacity planning for your Projects in conjunction with Engineering Management until Project completion Evaluate, schedule, and budget any required program. Ensure quality and risk management, as well as governance and team coordination of the programs to comply with company strategy and targets.
- Develop detailed project schedules in MS Projects. This includes identifying project dependencies and critical path.
- Participate in intra-company coordination supporting the efficient execution of work activities as it relates to projects.
- Lead Project Management Initiatives, Involvement in process evolution and alignment with new tools and business requirements.
Education & Experience
- Degree/diploma in Aviation Maintenance / Project Management
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience managing MRO refurbishment projects. Aircraft proficiency around Dash 8, Twin Otter and CL is an asset.
- Previous experience with managing multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment.
- Previous Heavy Maintenance Planning experience will be considered an asset.
- PMP Certification will be considered as an asset.

- Demonstrated strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent ability to communicate vertically, horizontally, and at executive levels.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using PowerPoint, Excel and MS-Project.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and work effectively with people at all organizational levels.
- Excellent project management, communication, organizational, customer service and time management skills, foresight, accuracy and commitment to objectives and responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, work as part of a team or as an individual.
