**Reports To**

Shop Foreman

**Summary**

Reporting to the Shop Foreman, the Labourer is responsible for performing general duties on the shop floor. The individual will take direction well and be able to perform physically demanding work.

**Job Duties**
- Surface preparation and sanding materials between coats
- Load and unload CNC
- Packaging of finished products
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment
- Keep a daily log of tasks
- Work with team in the shop to complete projects within established timeframes
- Ensure job-site safety is maintained
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
- Maintain open and clear communication with the Shop Foreman to establish goals, timelines, and expectations
- Helps maintain cleanliness and safety of the property
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
- Minimum one (1) year experience in a similar role
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of First Aid and CPR an asset

- Time management and good organizational skills
- Ability to work with others in a team environment
- Ability to problem solve and deal with complex detailed projects

**Work Conditions**
- Subject to pre-employment drug testing and Police Check
- Forty-four (44) working hours per week: Monday to Thursday 7:30 am - 5:00 pm and Fridays 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
- Use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
- Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust
- Must be able to lift (up to 70 pounds), push, pull or carry heavy objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
- May be frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles
- May be exposed to intermittent loud noise
- Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination
- Excellent stamina is required
- Hazards associated with the construction industry
