**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Regularly clean the shop and yard to collect and dispose of debris, garbage, and discarded materials, ensuring the area remains tidy and hazard-free for workers and visitors.
- Sort, stack, and safely store dunnage and scrap wood throughout the yard. Coordinate with team members to dispose of or repurpose materials where appropriate.
- Sweep walkways and outdoor surfaces to remove dirt and debris in summer. Keep sidewalks, shop entrances, and walkways clear of snow and ice to maintain safe access in winter.
- Perform maintenance tasks such as painting and touching up bollards and other protective barriers.
- Help receive and unload incoming deliveries including parts, tools, and supplies.
- Maintain order in the parts room by labeling, shelving, and organizing inventory.
- Take ownership of small landscaping tasks such as weeding tree beds and planters during the spring and summer months to enhance the shop’s appearance.
- Drive company vehicles or trucks between locations as directed, following all company and road safety protocols.
- Travel to pick up parts, tools, or supplies from vendors or other company locations to support ongoing shop operations when needed

**Requirements**:

- Previous shop or yard experience is an asset
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Ability to perform physical labour and comfortable working outdoors and on your feet for extended periods
- Able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize tasks, and keep work areas neat and orderly
- Consistently follows safety procedures and demonstrates reliability in attendance, punctuality, and task completion
- Must pass pre-employment alcohol and drug test including cannabis
