- As a Quality Inspector for welding work within Pomerleau's Major Projects team, you will be under the supervision of the Quality Manager. The incumbent will be responsible for quality control tasks on the construction site to ensure compliance with the project's quality plan. Working on large-scale construction projects - ranging from $250 million to over $1 billion - you will play a crucial role in the success of the project.
- What you will do:
Under the supervision of the Quality Manager or Quality Lead, the Quality Inspector performs Quality control tasks on construction sites to verify project compliance with the requirements of the Quality plan.
- Acts as liaison between the construction site and the Quality Supervisor; informs Supervisor of all discrepancies observed on the construction site;
- Identifies Quality issues and deviations from Quality assurance system;
- Following the detection of a Quality issue, ensures corrective measures performed are controlled until issue is successfully resolved;
- Detects non-conformities; implements and monitors deficiency reports and corrective actions;
- Performs construction site inspections according to ITAP requirements;
- Prepares delivery procedures required for projects;
- Verifies conformity of work according to shop drawings and other submitted technical documents;
- Applies and monitors Quality Plan and the Inspection and Testing Plans (ITP);
- Compiles and interprets statistical data on non-conformities;
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives by preparing ad hoc presentations about lessons learned to share with Pomerleau’s Quality Department.

This role could be for you if you have:

- Certification or diploma: Bachelor’s degree/college diploma in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering or Architecture;
- Experiences: 2+ years related Quality experience in construction or related industry;
- Knowledge: Strong analytical abilities with a technical background. Knowledge of concrete, roofing, envelope, finishing preferred;
- Ability: Experience using SmartUse, BIM360Field or similar software an asset.
