**Job Description**:
What you can expect in a typical day

Using your strong time management and problem-solving skills, you will be responsible for optimizing asset, resource and product utilization within established policies and procedures. You will dispatch and support transportation resources to build efficient and cost-effective loads. This will be done by tracking daily performance in executing committed deliveries while meeting customers’ expectations. You will team together with internal and external customers, carriers and Dispatch Managers to meet KPI targets on safety, on-time delivery and retain targets. With customer satisfaction & service at the forefront, you will manage relationships with customers as the first point of contact for any transportation issues or inquiries relating to supply, products, assets and service interruptions and escalate as required. This role will be responsible for decisions and recommendations around several assets required for seasonal fluctuations in business, weather and supply interruptions. The responsibility also includes strategic planning, making product specification changes, meeting demand during supply outages and records and reports runouts or discrepancies within the business.

Your roles and responsibilities:

- Utilize technology to effectively gather and respond to requests for information for managers, drivers and customers
- Take ownership and is accountable until a problem is resolved
- Makes difficult and time sensitive decisions to support business objectives and customer needs
- Build loads for trucks and reviewing driver completions
- Bring forward any concerns to managers
- Able to forecast seasonal demands and resources
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Perform other duties as required to support the overall team
- Produces outcomes that demonstrate an understanding of financial impacts

- Time management skills for meeting demand during supply outages
- Drives efficiencies through research, analysis and evaluation of relevant information, including pre and post deliveries

Travel
- Travel is not a requirement for this position.

Education and experience
- Post-secondary education and/or equivalent experience in a customer service environment required
- 3-5 years related experience
- Previous exposure to the transportation industry would be considered an asset
- Must be able to work well in a team environment
- Problem solving skills and strong analytical skills
- Strong computer literacy
