**Summary**:
**Switch Crew General Responsibilities **include but are not limited to:
- Switch/spot railcars and build trains as well as deliver cuts of cars to class 1 railroads while always working safely in every type of weather condition.
- Ability to constantly work in an outdoor environment, exposed to all weather elements, including extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust and noisy conditions.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and being on call
- Constantly required to use bending, twisting, walking motions on uneven surfaces throughout the entire work shift.
- Must be able to work independently as well as a team member when required.
- Must be able to properly wear all required Personal Protective Equipment.
- Loading and unloading of goods to and from railcars
- Labourer duties, tidying yard, assisting crane operators
- Use of forklift, track mobile, front-end loader, locomotive and other equipment
- Abiding by yard rules, safety regulations and PPE requirements
- Accurately completing all required paperwork
- Abide by terminals processes and procedures relating to product transfers, quality assurance, safety and operations
- Able to work continental shift Nights (10:00 PM - 10 :00 AM)
- Complete required training and certifications necessary to perform duties safely and effectively
- **_ _to be trained to operate a locomotive and transload petroleum_
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- High school or GED equivalent
- MUST have valid drivers license;
- 1-2 years Laborer and/or Railway experience an asset
- Loading and unloading of liquid goods using pressure/pumps (transload petroleum)
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs; physically fit
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to work shift work, holidays and weekends
- Able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing as well as Criminal Background Check
- Able to work overtime
- Attention to detail
- Able to take direction

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
