Position: Service Clerk - Seasonal

Description of position**:Seasonal Position - October 2024 to January 7 2025**. Sells merchandise, assists customers, checks purchaser age and rings up orders using cash register, straightens and cleans liquor store, stocks merchandise, provide product knowledge

Daily Tasks and responsibilities:.
- Check photo ID's to verify legal age requirements are met.
- Uphold AGLC policies and procedures for safe and responsible liquor sales
- Provide prompt and courteous customer service. Ring up orders: Receive payment, make change and process credit/debit card transactions. Ensure all orders are accurate.
- Clean the store by sweeping, mopping, dusting. Stock supplies and empty trash.
- Stock merchandise by hand with the assistance of a manual pallet jack
- Verify, receive and work product deliveries
- Follow merchandising standards and practices - straighten products, return stray items, ensure accurate signage
- Perform work place inspections as required
- Provide product knowledge
- Assist in other areas of the business as required

Schedule: Varies with the needs of the business. **Evening and weekend availability is required.**

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: From $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 40 per week

**Experience**:

- retail: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- ProServe (preferred)
