As such, we welcome talented individuals that have a variety of perspectives, backgrounds, and industry experience who will contribute to the success of our One Parkland team. **Position Title**:Lead Scheduler, Turnarounds **Team and Location**:Refinery, Burnaby - BC **Position Summary**: The Lead Scheduler, Turnarounds, is responsible for the overall development and delivery of a TA schedule that integrates all process unit shutdown and start-up activities, capital project activities and maintenance activities. The Lead Scheduler, Turnarounds, is responsible for the development, maintenance and implementation of scheduling standards and best practices. **Key Responsibilities**: - Configures scheduling software and coding such that all schedule objectives and requirements are satisfied. - Leads the development of a fully integrated Turnaround execution schedule that contains the required: - Turnaround and decommission activities, with proper sequencing and relationship; - Work scopes in stepped out job plans, with realistic inter and intra logic relationship; - Commissioning and start up activities, with proper sequencing and relationship; - "Hold points" for quality assurance. - Resource assignments, resource coding, and activity coding; - Schedule reporting flexibility as required during the different phases of execution. - Develops and implements a schedule review plan that delivers an effective execution schedule that optimizes plant reliability and turnaround costs while adhering to site safety requirements. - Prior to the Turnaround, identifies areas of vulnerability, where schedule contingency planning should be proactively performed. - Develops and utilizes performance metrics to report execution field progress; but also, to continually improve the overall turnaround scheduling process. - Using state-of-the-art scheduling principles, issues daily work schedules during the execution phase of the Turnaround that reflect previous period changes and challenging, but realistic, work progress expectations. - Provides input to the resolution of all priority conflicts involving execution resources, including labor, materials, services, equipment, and tools. **Qualifications and Skills**: - Expert working knowledge of Primavera P6 Scheduling Software. - 10 + years of relevant work experience. - Bachelors Degree. - Expert working knowledge of MS Suite (inc. Word, Excel, etc.). - Effective time management skills. - Effective and concise verbal and written communication skills.
