Vitrum Industries LTD has been supplying clients with top-quality glass products since 1997 from our facility in Langley, British Columbia. Vitrum has added an additional 65,000 sq foot fabrication facility five minutes north of Calgary, Alberta. Within our 345,000 feet of fabrication facilities, our 500+ full time employees work 5 days a week, 24 hours per day to produce a wide range of architectural glass products including: insulated glass units, heat-strengthened glass, tempered glass, heat-soaked glass, spandrel glass, screen or digitally printed glass, shower doors, all-glass entry system and laminated glass - all available in over-sized configurations with a maximum insulated glass size of 98″ x 190″.
From our two facilities, we serve markets throughout Canada and USA.

**About this Position**:
1. Position: Operation Manager
2. Work location: Langley, BC Canada
3. Benefits: Extended medical benefits
4. Full time, minimum 40 hours per week. This is a permanent position.
5. Start date: As soon as possible

**Job Requirement**:
1. Completion of a bachelor’s degree in Management, Applied Science, Industrial Engineer or a related field.
2. At least 5 years of experience in management level in manufacturing plant is required and/or equivalent experience leading an end-to-end customer-facing operations.
3. Excellent communication skills in English.
4. Leadership skill is a key asset.
5. Exceptional ability to consider all the detail, while simultaneously focusing on the “big picture”.
6. Excellent ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with a team, clients, and internal managers.
7. Ability to manage, influence and plan in a dynamic environment.
8. Strong ability to demonstrate analysis and problem-solving skills, while managing a team to execute a dynamic operational plan.

**Job Main Duties**

1. Plan, oversee, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of our production glass factory based in Langley.
2. Manage, train, and develop Operations staff in training, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
3. Manage key performance indicators relative to sales growth, productivity, inventory control, and quality.
4. Work with QA/QC to cultivate a Continuous Quality Improvement mentality on the production floor to yield better processes, to make every production employee a quality conscious contributor.
5. Provide visible leadership in all facilities and model the company’s vision and values across all sites; ensure alignment to division goals and priorities.
6. Develop and promote the functional strategy, objectives and key results established for the manufacturing operations group with a focus on ensuring continuous assurance to quality, operational efficiency, and economies of scale within manufacturing.
7. Take direct responsibility for the safety, productivity, quality, and project completion within the plant to meet production customer service targets.
8. Together with our engineering team, plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of work to increase productivity and efficiency.9. Implement a direct quality control inspection system and develop production reporting procedures.
