**What role will you play?**:
As part of the Procurement team, the Procurement Specialist will be responsible for leading and conducting various strategic sourcing initiatives, and providing support for downstream contracting, following established processes in accordance with Procurement policies and procedures. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: supporting clients in bidding their goods and services through a competitive RFx lifecycle, contract evaluation, negotiation and finalization, managing vendors to contracted terms, partnering with clients and vendors of record in coordinating procurement activities that may be required to meet current and future operational requirements and project needs. The Procurement Specialist also interfaces with the vendor community and with multiple stakeholders, including senior management, throughout the lifecycle of the vendor management, sourcing and contracting processes.

**What you'll be responsible for? (Apart from Innovating)**:

- Provides support and leadership throughout the sourcing and contract management lifecycle including:

- Competitively bidding goods/services requirements while maintaining the integrity of the procurement process;
- Using the most appropriate purchasing method and strategy that best meets Innovapost’s project, business, operational, and cost reduction targets;
- Supporting Corporate strategies, while meeting our legislative obligations under the trade treaty agreements and abiding by Innovapost Procurement policies;
- Sourcing (evaluation and selection through Request For Information, Request For Quote, Request For Qualification and Request For Proposal);
- Contract management (including negotiation and execution of contracts);
- Providing contractual guidance and interpretation of contracts for clients;
- Supporting vendor management activities as required (vendor relationship and performance management); and
- Assessing any vendor risk.
- Provides guidance to the Buyer team in carrying out related procurement activities such as:

- Processing of requisitions;
- Maintenance and approval of the vendor database including the management of the necessary information for the addition of new vendors to the procurement and accounts payable systems;
- Purchase Order compliance with the terms, conditions and pricing negotiated in the contract; and
- Supporting end-users and providing guidance to them in the requisition process.
- Helps support an effective and timely contract renewal process through advanced notifications to the business stakeholder(s) and by conducting a strategic sourcing analysis with them for major vendors;
- Manages and maintains an up-to-date contract repository;
- Ensures Procurement activities meet internal / external audit requirements;
- Reinforces Innovapost’s “Supplier Code of Conduct” policy; and is a
- Conduit to the Legal team.

**What it takes for this role to be yours?**:

- Public procurement, strategic sourcing and contracting: demonstrated experience in executing sourcing and contracting procurements in support of government entities, in accordance with established trade treaties, policies, practices, principles and standards;
- Stakeholder Management: experienced in collaborating with multiple stakeholders and the vendor community at senior levels;
- Financial Management: understanding of key concepts; experience in modeling pricing evaluation worksheets.
- Experience with the public procurement of IT services - Software, hardware and services;
- Experience in contract management, including contract negotiation and execution; and
- Experience related to the end-to-end Procurement lifecycle.
