**About you**:
You are an analytical individual who enjoys the operational side of credit underwriting. You have previous credit analysis experience and can read and understand bank statements and credit reports. You have high attention to detail and are an independent decision maker and problem solver. You can analyze a problem and assess the risk to make sound business decisions.

**About you / qualifications**:

- 2 years’ experience in lending including risk management, fraud prevention, credit adjudication, and compliance
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal
- Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook
- Adaptable, flexible and responsive to change

**About the day-to-day**:

- Manage entire underwriting process, ensuring formalized underwriting policies and procedures are being adhered to
- Make prudent credit decisions on complex, potentially higher risk loan files
- Maintain consistent, objective and sound risk assessments in a high volume, service-oriented environment
- Prepare and issue conditional loan approvals outlining all conditions that must be met to the company’s satisfaction
- Issue loan approvals according to negotiated and approved terms
- Review completeness and quality of file documentation prepared prior to funding
- Work effectively with all internal business partners to underwriting quality transactions and provide a high level of service
- Provide help to analyze and discover trends within credit model to consistently improve pricing and decision-making algorithm
- Embody company culture and be professionally presented
- Collaborate with IT on credit and sales technology initiatives
