**General Description**:
Dr. Luc Sipkema and his team at **Straight Flossing Dentistry** are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for every patient during every visit. As a Level 2 Dental Assistant, your role is crucial Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of clinical and administrative tasks, all aimed at ensuring efficient and effective operation of the dental practice.

**Major Duties (including but not limited to)**:
**Chairside Assistance**:

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and providing additional tools as needed.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and materials for each procedure.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during treatments. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
- **Sterilization and Infection Control**:

- Adhere to strict sterilization and infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- **Patient Care and Support**:

- Greet and escort patients to treatment rooms, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience. Take and record patient medical history.
- **Radiography**:

- Perform dental radiographic procedures under the supervision of a licensed dentist.

**Qualifications**:
Completion of a recognized Level 2 Dental Assistant program.
- Certification as a Level 2 Dental Assistant.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Bilingualism in any language an asset but not a requirement.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

**Hours of Work**

This position is full time with hours of work from Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 1pm.
