**Global Pet Foods** is looking to hire a **Retail Assistant Manager** to join our team

**Responsibilities**
- Assist the Retail Manager with daily store operations.
- Help customers by providing information about products, services and promotions.
- Ring up customer purchases and process returns.
- Work with the Inventory team to ensure that merchandise is in stock and available for customer display.
- Assess, price and merchandise products in the retail store.
- Maintain cleanliness of the retail store and the store area around the register.
- Help the Inventory team with inventory management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Retail Manager or Store Manager.

**Skills & Requirements**
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including Afternoon/Evening and weekends.
- Previous experience as a Retail Sales Associate or similar position working with merchandise is mandatory.
- Basic computer skills are required for job duties. Knowledge of a Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred.
- Must be willing to learn new software programs as needed to run business.
- Strong organizational skills required to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Must be willing to work as a part of a team in a group environment.
- Must be willing to use physical strength and stamina to stand for long periods of time and move frequently around the store.

**Salary**: $15.50-$17.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- London, ON N6J 1Y5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

**Experience**:

- Microsoft Office: 1 year (preferred)
- Retail sales: 3 years (required)

**Language**:

- French (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
