We are looking for a dynamic, security minded person who is able to commit to a long term position in the hotel industry. We are looking for a Security Supervisor for a hotel located right downtown Toronto, conveniently located by a subway station. **There is no on site parking available so use of transit is recommended.** Opportunity available: - Full time, Monday to Friday, 1500h - 2300h (occasional starts at 1100h) - Occasional weekends based on client request Job Requirements: - Ontario Security Guard License - Standard First Aid CPR-C + AED - Experience at a hotel and successfully enforcing site protocol - 2 years experience in security and customer service - 1 year experience as a security supervisor - Must be professional and presentable - Have excellent communication, customer service, and report writing skills - Shared on call rotation on weekends (once a month, paid) **Duties**: - Share paid on call duties on weekends/evenings on a rotating schedule - Handle sick calls/day off requests during work time - Manage schedule for site - Constant communication with Head Office management team to ensure everyone is kept in the loop of site issues - Handle minor disciplinary issues with direction from HR - Unafraid to ensure all who enter the property are guests, employees, or have business at the hotel - Conduct hourly exterior and interior patrols - Enforce the "Trespass to Property Act" - Write and submit reports in a timely manner - Respond to calls from Manager on Duty and guests in a timely manner, with follow up occurring where necessary on the next shift - Work with site staff - Liaise with Toronto Police and other emergency services - De-escalate potential situations - Communicate with their team - Be flexible with work assignments **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week Additional pay: - Overtime pay Schedule: - 10 hour shift - 12 hour shift - 8 hour shift - Evening shift - Holidays - Monday to Friday - On call - Overtime - Weekends as needed Ability to commute/relocate: - Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) **Experience**: - Supervising experience: 1 year (required) - Security: 3 years (required) **Language**: - English (required) Licence/Certification: - Standard First Aid CPR - C + AED (required) - Security Guard Licence (required) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2024-09-23
