**Job Description: Formwork Safety Coordinator**

Quorum Structural Forming Ltd. is seeking out applicants to take on a role as Formwork Safety Coordinator for one of our upcoming projects. Formwork Safety Coordinator works closely with the Corporate Safety Manager and other team members ensuring safety across the organization.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Support the Formwork Superintendent on-site throughout construction
- Regularly monitor health, safety, and compliance of workers
- Conduct site-specific health, safety, and environment orientations for all new site workers
- Ensure that all accidents, incidents, and injuries are properly reported to all appropriate parties
- Facilitate and participate in site inspections and implement corrective action as required
- Conduct weekly toolbox meetings and monitor the submissions of trade safety meetings
- Maintain and prepare thorough documentation and reports
- Keep management updated on issues or concerns as they arise
- Assist with labor duties and site maintenance
- Render First Aid as required
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Diligent record-keeping

**REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS**:

- OFA 2
- CSO certificate preferred
- Computer literacy and familiarity with programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Company-specific reporting software instruction to be held once the applicant has been accepted
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- PPE and specific PPE about applicants’ current certifications (ie. fall protection harness)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- First-Aid: 2 years (preferred)
- Formwork Safety Coordinator/ Assistant: 2 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- English fluently (preferred)
- Spanish fluently (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- CSO certificate (preferred)
- fall protection certificate (preferred)
- OFA 2 certificate (required)
