**Overview**:
As the Claims Advocate, reporting to the Vice President of Claims, you will be a part of the Ontario Personal Lines Claims Team, working directly with clients to receive and advocate for claims results in a Personal Insurance setting.

**How you'll make an impact**:

- Intake of Personal Lines clients’ new claims and reporting to the insurance company
- Providing claims counselling to insureds as required in a professional and conscientious manner
- Inputting data using Applied EPIC BMS system and review as required
- Maintaining, coordinating and updating client files
- Communicating with adjusters and insureds with respect to open claims
- Liaising between insured and insurance carrier where appropriate
- Providing advocacy on claims, on client’s behalf with insurers
- Processing incoming mail in a timely fashion
- Attending company sponsored seminars and educational activities needed to maintain product knowledge and expertise
- Participating in special Claims projects as required

**About you**:

- Completion of post-secondary education; Business Insurance program an asset
- RIBO Licensed or have the ability to acquire the RIBO license within 90 days is a requirement to join our team
- CAIB or CIP designation or courses completed towards industry designations an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to efficiently use Broker Management software, follow-up systems and electronic filing systems
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Ability to multi‐task between a variety of tasks, projects, and deadlines
- Comprehensive and effective verbal/written communication skills
- Client service and/or claims experience in a Personal Lines environment
