**Are you passionate about ensuring compliance, and efficiency in fleet management? We are seeking an experienced Fleet NSC Compliance Manager to oversee our corporate Commercial Driver and Vehicle Safety programs.**
**Ontime Sales and Leasing (Corporate Fleet) provides Fleet and Equipment support to over 2000+ Assets across 19 Operating Companies in BC & AB within the Mainroad Group. **This role is essential to maintaining and enhancing Mainroad’s compliance standards, managing driver qualification and training programs, and upholding NSC regulatory standards across multiple Provincial jurisdictions.**
**This is a full-time permanent salary position based out of Mainroad’s head office in Surrey, B.C or Red Deer, AB and will report** to the **Fleet General Manager.**
- Post-secondary education in the areas of project management, office administration, or a closely related field and/or equivalent experience in a related field(s), is required.
- Minimum 5-10 years of Commercial Vehicle Transport Industry experience
- Extensive understanding of regulations relating to Transport Canada, Commercial Transport Regulations (CTR), Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), Canadian Standards Association (CSA), American National Standard Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).
- Clean Class 5 Driver’s License required; Commercial License is an asset.
- Excellent proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), Automated Vehicle Location Services (AVLS) and Fleet Management System (FMS)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize various projects.
- Strong learning agility and a willingness to continually learn and collaborate with Mainroad Stakeholders, Regulators and Commercial Vehicle Safety Enforcement (CVSE) Agencies.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess a “company-first” mentality and dedication to Mainroad.
- Results-focused with a proven ability to meet stringent deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently with little or no supervision and as a team player.
- Experience building and enhancing working relationships with key clients and internal customers.
- Proven ability to take initiative, demonstrate creativity and produce outstanding work.
- Knowledge of Fleet Management Systems & Procedures
- Skilled at building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to travel to Mainroad Facilities within B.C. and Alberta.
**Job duties include, but are not limited to the following**:
- Maintain and enhance a corporate Commercial Driver and Vehicle Safety and Compliance Program.
- Monitor and manage Provincial and where applicable Federal NSC carrier registrations.
- Develop, monitor, and manage Mainroad’s process for record keeping requirements including driver files, hours-of-service records, daily vehicle inspection reports, and vehicle maintenance records including NSC carrier profiles.
- Co-ordinate a program to obtain and review commercial driver abstracts at regular intervals.
- Manage driver qualification requirements including monitoring licensing status.
- Manage corporate commercial driver training programs.
- Manage corporate commercial driver road testing programs.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams including HSSE, HR, Fleet and Mainroad Operating Companies, co-ordinate incident investigation and follow-up for any inspections, convictions, collisions, or near misses.
- Monitor and document hours-of-service compliance (HOS) including electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Working with the Regional Equipment Managers, and Mechanical teams, to ensure commercial vehicle preventative maintenance programs and annual inspection programs are completed.
- Monitor trip inspection compliance with adherence to NSC Standard 13.
- Organize or conduct internal and 3rd Party -audits in preparation for NSC Carrier Compliance & Safety Certificate.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with an ability to work with cross functional teams.
- Establish key performance indicators for NSC performance reporting.
- Adheres to Mainroad Safety Policies and OSH Regulations at Federal and Provincial jurisdictions including the use PPE and other safety equipment
- Reports unsafe conditions, all incidents, injuries and near misses
