**Primary Job Description**
The Healthy Spot Pet Nutrition and Supply Store Manager provides leadership, direction, and operational management to our customer-focused retail store. The Store Manager is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by streamlining workflows, ensuring smooth operational processes, and for leading our Customer Care Team in a positive, inclusive, and friendly manner. At Healthy Spot every team member is tasked with creating an amazing shopping experience for our customers and the Store Manager demonstrates this commitment for all staff. The Store Manager is supported by the Regional Manager.
**About the Role**
The Store Manager (SM) is in charge of the day-to-day operations of our Victoria store, ensuring the smooth operation of all store processes and inventory, maintaining adequate staffing and training, and upholding excellence in service delivery. Each day in the role of SM is unique The SM will assist customers and build relationships, oversee special orders, returns, inventory management, and ensure seasonal displays, contests and new products are displayed as directed by the store owners. They will oversee community events and fundraisers and liaise with suppliers to support local charities and rescue events.
The SM will ensure the store is always clean, well maintained, stocked and ready for business. They will participate in all manner of store maintenance from ensuring technology is in working order, mobilizing repair technicians to deal with IT equipment, shelving and paint fixes and heating, cooling and refrigeration issues.
The SM will receive product into the point-of-sale system, oversee price changes and supply as directed by the owners, and troubleshoot any product issues or changes. They will work with warehouse staff to manage stock and transfers and will organize daily deliveries.
**Qualifications and Abilities**
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of retail leadership in a customer focused environment
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated exceptional sales and customer service abilities
- Full-time availability required, including evenings and weekends as needed
- A positive attitude
- Proficiency with computers
- Passion for the health and welfare of animals
- Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds
**What We Offer**
We offer a competitive wage that includes a cel phone stipend, an $800 health spending account annually, as well as staff discounts on merchandise, a staff pet food program and a casual but professional dress-code. We have a friendly and supportive team of experienced staff, many of them long-term.
**Salary**: $22-$25/hour and will be commensurate with experience.
