- What Is the Opportunity?


- The Business Intelligence & Analytics Internship Program provides qualified students with an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand experience, receive valuable on-the-job training and learn more about the property & casualty insurance industry.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Data preparation, validation, reconciliation and analysis of premium, claims and other data
- Using software such as SAS, SQL, MS Access and Excel to produce analyses and reporting
- Selects appropriate relevant data and extracts from various internal and external sources.
- Presents analysis and recommendations to team members and manager.
- Contributes to development of reporting to monitor business critical results
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Developing product knowledge
- Responding to ad hoc business needs
- Working with actuarial colleagues from other business areas
- Supporting implementation of IT projects and business initiatives

Minimum Qualifications
- Must be pursuing post-secondary degree.
- Legally eligible to work in the Canada.

Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge
- Students who are serious about entering the insurance industry is preferred.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above preferred.
- Students completing their final or 3rd year is preferred.

Job Specific Technical Skills & Competencies
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
