As a Yard Shunter, you will be responsible for moving the heavy-duty vehicles in the Yard.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate and move trucks and trailers within the distribution yard safely and efficiently.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Load and unload shipments as required.
- Maintain accurate records of all trucks and trailers entering and exiting the yard.
- Keep the yard clean and organized.
- Communicate with the distribution team to ensure timely loading and unloading of shipments.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues with vehicles or equipment to management.
- Cross-train in other areas of the distribution center to provide support as needed.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Yard Shunter or truck driving.
- Can drive both automatic and standard trucks.
- Valid Class DZ or AZ license, with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of transportation and distribution industry best practices.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to operate various types of trucks and trailers.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.
