**Position Overview**

The safety professional plans, implements, monitors, teaches and reports on all aspects of OHS management for the F&M Installations project they are assigned to. The OHS professional works directly with members of the project management team to ensure FMI meets its regulatory obligations and objectives aimed first and foremost at keeping workers safe and healthy. Safety professional will also provide support to create and implement systems that encourage environmental sustainability on the project sites.

- **Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following**:_

**Health and Safety Management Programs**:

- Provide expertise, guidance, mentoring, development and advisory services to the sites within FMI in all disciplines associated with occupational health and safety management.
- Assist site personnel in implementing occupational health and safety programs.
- Oversee the project emergency response program to ensure effective emergency measures are in place.
- Perform site inspections
- Deliver on-site orientation and training
- Complete safety reports for client and FMI corporate review.
- Participate with operations to conduct investigations and report on serious incidents.

**Education and Experience Requirements**
- **CSO, NCSO or graduate of a post-secondary program in OH+S.**:

- Proven experience with MS software, especially Word, Excel and Power Point, and comfort with other varieties of project and safety management systems - **required**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2-3 months

**Salary**: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

- Day shift
