Matrix is urgently hiring local labourers for a project in
**Halifax, NS**. The pay rate is
**$28/hr** with the potential for overtime. Our client has been building quality vessels for over 50 years and has been at the forefront of Canadian shipbuilding for over 130 years.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- General cleaning of shops, facilities, projects and anywhere else needed
- Help with setting up for specified work on a vessel or in the shop
- Helping with care and preservation, performing fire watch and confined watch duties
- Assisting in docking and undocking vessels
- Surface preparation & Coating (i.e. Solvent Cleaning, Hand Tool Cleaning, Power Tool Cleaning, and Power Tool Cleaning to Bare Metal)
- Assisting others wherever assistance is needed

**Qualifications**:

- MUST be eligible for Canadian Security Clearance
- Full PPE+Fit Tested Respirator Mask
- Problem-solving skills required
- Must be able to wear respiratory protection as required
- Physical effort and work conditions: Able to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, and climb
- Must be capable of working at heights from ladders, scaffolding, and platforms and in extreme confined spaces
- Occasionally lift and carry items that weigh over fifty (50lbs) pounds

**Requirements**:

- Confined Space Ticket
- Fall Protection Ticket
- WHMIS
- Forklift Ticket (asset but not required)
