**Position**: Geophysicist / Business Development Manager
For our Toronto office, we seek a skilled, self-directed, and enthusiastic individual who can handle various responsibilities related to geophysical projects and also explore fresh prospects in the mining and civil engineering sectors. Experience in this field is a must.
**The primary duties, but not limited to, include**:
- Oversee and manage geophysical projects and technical studies to support the technical team.
- Participate in operations, which involve data processing, interpretation, and report writing.
- Manage business development activities for the company in Ontario, Canada, and globally. Contribute to establishing partnership agreements for our tailings’ monitoring initiative, MASW-AI, and AI services.
- Meet clients to identify needs and objectives, coordinate internally between departments to meet deadlines.
- Attend events and trade shows to represent the company and generate business leads, as needed.
- Participate in the development and implementation of sales and service promotion tools.
- Work closely with various stakeholders (sales, marketing, purchasing, operations) to maximize sales opportunities.
- Analyze competition, markets, and the impact of activities to meet sales and profitability objectives.
- Primarily based in the office but must be open to travel outside for business development activities.
**The qualifications and requirements for this position are**:
- A graduate degree in geophysics, geological engineering, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience as a geophysicist, including conducting ground, marine, and airborne surveys and handling processing, reporting, etc.
- Proficiency in using the Office suite and relevant software for geophysical data processing.
- Relevant experience in developing business and sales and marketing processes.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English; French proficiency is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including crafting concise and effective written proposals, presentations, and reports.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Self-directed, disciplined, and effective in time management and organization.
