Machine Shop Production Supervisor

We are currently looking for a highly skilled Production Supervisor that has the ability to oversee CNC Programming and manufacturing in our CNC machine shop department to join our growing team. This is a full-time position on the afternoon shift.

**Responsibilities**:
Supervise day to day operations in machine/fabrication shop consisting of CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and fabrication and electroplating department
Oversee and ensure that safe-working procedures, good housekeeping practices and all company policies are adhered to at all times
Organize resources and workflow to maximize efficiencies and monitor daily performances
Schedule, distribute and control work assignments to provide smooth workflow of both priority and routine tasks to ensure efficient utilization of personnel so that production requirements are met in a timely basis
Co-ordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of shop floor equipment as necessary
Provide leadership, support and direction to employees on machining/technical challenges
Conduct Training for new employees
Maintain ongoing and effective communication with Plant Manager, Quality Control, and Production Scheduler with regards to daily activities and priorities

**Qualifications**:
Post-Secondary education and certification in a related technical discipline
Minimum 10 years’ previous experience in a leadership position in a manufacturing environment
Minimum 10 years of Mazak CNC machining/Mazatrol programming/independent setup experience
Strong planning and organization skills
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Team player with excellent leadership skills
Excellent troubleshooting skills to resolve issues with sound judgment
Must be able to work overtime on an occasional basis

**Salary**: $29.00-$33.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Evening shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
