Machine Shop Supervisor

**Responsibilities**:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the CNC machine shop, ensuring that work orders are completed on time and to the highest quality standards
- Manage a team of CNC machine operators (both lathe and mill), providing guidance and support as needed to ensure optimal performance
- Analyze new drawings and work with lead CNC Machinist to plan machining process, required tooling and fixtures.
- Maintain inventory levels for tooling and inserts and order new tools as necessary
- Occassionaly assist with machining new fixtures on conventional or CNC machines, when required
- Occassionaly assist with production on CNC machines, when required
- Work closely with quality manager to ensure production parts are meeting quality standards and take proactive steps to eliminate any issues
- Work closely with management to understand changing customer demands or production needs and adjust schedules as necessary
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on work experience in a CNC Machine shop environment
- Strong knowledge of conventional machining practices, including understanding tooling requirements and optimal speeds/feeds for cutting
- Minimum 2 years of previous supervisory experience in a machine shop enviornment
- Previous experience ordering tools for the shop
- Strong leadership and communication skills
