**Job Posting - Scalehouse Operator - CSR**

ECCO Recycling & Energy Corporation’s core business is recycling and the disposal of waste. The scale weighs all of the inbound and outbound materials providing the critical data for generating company revenues. The scale is the single most important piece of equipment we operate on the site and the Scale Administrator’s position is a critical role for company operations and success.

The Scalehouse CSR Role is a full-time/ Part-time position involving:

- Providing a very welcoming, friendly and positive experience for all our clients and site visitors, Present a consistent, courteous “unflappable” demeanor and friendly visage (interact with customers, while expediting movement of the trucks across the scale)
- Processing of all clients, both commercial and residential, arriving at the scale
- Determining type of load material, enter data into Geoware Waste Management software, processing payments
- Great communication skills when explaining to clients where to take recycling/waste materials and the general operations of the site
- Recognize our regular customers, drivers, and their respective truck
- Exercise clear, friendly, and accurate telephone etiquette; direct calls to the appropriate staff member as needed
- Listen to and endeavor to address customer questions, comments and/ or concerns to customer satisfaction to the best of your ability and/ or as required direct the customer to the appropriate manager
- Divert truck loads with unacceptable waste to alternative disposal sites
- Direct visitors, clients, mechanics and/ or delivery persons to contact persons as required
- Communicate any safety precautions to drivers, delivery persons and/ or other site visitors

**Skills & Qualifications**:
This position requires a proven level of initiative and judgment in order to smoothly execute a busy Scalehouse operation. Tact, diplomacy and a commitment to teamwork are required in dealing with colleagues in an everyday working environment.

- Intermediate computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to multi-task & quick study
- Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- Cash handling, familiarity with POS hardware
- Availability and stamina for possible 12 hour shifts or early start times
- Must have own transportation
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Must be bondable and available for background check

**Education and Job Knowledge**:
Grade 12 Graduate

Familiarity with trucking and hauling industry terminology

Experience as a Scalehouse Administrator skills are considered an asset

Reporting to the Controller/ Office Manager

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.00 - 37.50 per week
